Thankyou to everyone - 2014
On behalf of the York Friendship Club ladies, I would like to thank all who participated in our Medieval Fayre on Sunday 2nd November 2014.
Particularly our great and enthusiastic re-enactors – the Grey Co. Darksun and the Geckos.
Special thanks to Joshua (pyro panther) whose battle workshops the kids will always remember.
Richard III Group, heraldic and blacksmiths all added to the day.
The Pirate Ship was brilliant for young ones.
Rod (Bouncy Fun Castles) was very generous with his fee and time. Corale Jenny who manned it looked terrific, and the witch and the pirate had the patience of ‘saints’.
Thanks to the dance teachers of the Irish, Scottish and Dance Flight for organising the children so beautifully.
Also thank you to the gorgeous belly dancers for their added colour and energy (Kenelee for the dance floor).
Other minstrels in the rotunda – Mark, Karen and Rowan – thanks guys. (Photographers Lisa, Brett and Kaz).
Our stall holders and foodies made the rest of the park a treat to be in.
Helpers on the gates, parade, even the electrician who went way beyond the call of duty.
And the Parade! You had to see and ‘hear’ it – it was a ball.
John the King, Kath the Queen and Katelyn the CRC Princess.
The 3 special Perth dragons in the red truck. Also drivers Austin, Hans, Lance, and thanks to the vintage Car owner we managed to get most people on wheels.
Of course special thanks to Tim up on the hoist keeping the dragon’s head on, after the tree mishap!
(We may have to supply you with a broomstick next year)
And there will be a next year – we raised $7,000 and a detailed report will soon follow for the ‘Homeless’ projects to benefit from this great day out in York!
Signed – a very grateful and relieved
Yvonne
